Slice your apples in half and lightly spoon out the center to remove the seeds.
Place hot water in an 8 x 8 baking dish, then layer the apples in the pan skin side down.
Sprinkle the coconut sugar and cinnamon over each apple half.
For the crumb topping, combine all of the ingredients together in a bowl, and use your hands to work the coconut oil into the dry ingredients to create a crumb.
Press the mixture over each apples. *You can pour any remaining crumb topping directly into the pan, it will turn into a delicious oatmeal!
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil then bake uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the apples begin to soften.
