Honey Miso Salmon

Sheet-pan dinners are my go-to during the week to serve over a quick grain for a well-rounded dish. This honey miso salmon sheet pan is made with crisp broccoli florets, sweet mini peppers, and flakey salmon fillets tossed in a honey miso marinade. The marinade is the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and pairs so well with the fish.

I love to serve it over fluffy white rice for a nourishing weeknight dinner.

The simple honey miso marinade comes together with just a few ingredients. The white miso adds a subtle, savory flavor that’s sweetened with a little honey and flavored with garlic, ginger, coconut aminos and rice vinegar.

It’s delicious over fish, veggies, chicken or your favorite protein.

Honey Miso Salmon

What you’ll need to make Honey Miso Salmon

  • Salmon fillets- about 4-6 oz each
  • Broccoli florets and mini bell peppers
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder, salt & pepper

Honey Miso Marinade

  • white miso paste
  • rice vinegar
  • grated ginger
  • coconut aminos
  • ginger
  • honey
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F
  2. Toss the broccoli and peppers with olive oil and salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bake for 25 minutes
  3. Mix the miso marinade ingredients together until smooth
  4. Place the salmon fillets onto the sheet-pan and pour some of the sauce over each fillet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, and broil for the last two minutes
  5. Once ready, pour any remaining sauce over the top

While everything bakes in the oven, you can start preparing a grain to serve alongside this recipe. Rice is usually my go-to for a dish like this, but quinoa, noodles, or cauliflower rice would be just as delicious!

You’ll love this simple recipe for an easy weeknight dinner with minimal clean-up. I can’t wait for you to try it! You can tag me on Instagram if you do 🙂

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 4-6 oz each
  • 1 lb broccoli florets
  • 2 cups mini peppers cut into rings
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh cilantro and sesame seeds, to top

Honey Miso Sauce

  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos or 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F
  2. In a small bowl, combine the honey miso marinade ingredients together and mix until smooth using a whisk or immersion blender. Set aside
  3. Add the broccoli florets and sliced peppers to a large sheet pan and toss together with 3 tbsp of olive oil, 1 tsp of garlic powder and pinch of salt & pepper. Bake the veggies for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove the pan from the oven and place the salmon fillets in between the veggies. Drizzle the salmon with a little olive oil and season with salt & pepper. Pour a spoonful of sauce over each salmon fillet
  5. Place the sheet pan back into the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes- depending on the thickness of the fish- then broil for the last 2 minutes to brown.
  6. Once ready, pour the remaining sauce over the top of the salmon with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and fresh cilantro
