This maple dijon salmon is a delicious and simple way to enjoy fish. The salmon is topped with a sweet & savory marinade and fresh parsley, then perfectly cooked until flakey. It’s such a simple recipe, but one that the whole family will enjoy.
Serve it with my Green Goddess Orzo for a well-rounded weeknight dinner.

I’m all about keeping weeknight dinners simple. The marinade is made with just 6 basic ingredients, and truly elevates the salmon.
This dish is so versatile that it pairs well with so many different sides, like roasted potatoes, a kale salad or pasta dish.
What to serve with your salmon

I originally made this dish a few weeks ago for my in-laws when they stopped by for lunch. It was so easy to make, and the sweet and savory flavors were unbeatable. I knew I had to remake it for the blog.
Ingredients you’ll need for maple dijon salmon
- Salmon fillet– about 1.5 oz
- Dijon mustard– I love using whole grain mustard
- Pure maple syrup
- Olive oil
- Garlic
- Salt
- Fresh herbs

- Prepare the marinade in a small bowl by whisking together the mustard, maple, olive oil, garlic, herbs and salt & pepper
- Season the salmon fillet with salt & pepper then pour the marinade on top
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until the fish flakes easily
- Top with a squeeze of lemon juice

I like to switch up the herbs when I make this. Parsley, cilantro and dill are my top 3 choices for this recipe.
REHEATING LEFTOVERS: leftover salmon doesn’t always heat up the best, so I like to either eat it cold over a salad, or heat it up on a skillet for a few minutes so it gets crispy. Leftovers should stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days

Make it a meal
Here are a few other ideas for what to serve with your salmon
- Roasted brussels sprouts, like these maple balsamic roasted sprouts
- Crispy potatoes, or my favorite garlic smashed potatoes
- Oven-baked crispy zucchini chips
- A hearty side salad, like this Thai salad with peanut dressing

Perfect, easy and delicious. We grilled our salmon and served with grilled garden veggies: onion, cauliflower, broccoli, snow peas, and summer squash.
Sounds so good!!
